If you want to find out more about BettingLounge Ireland, then you have come to the right place. Here, we touch on everything from our background to our purpose and how we differ from competitors.
Our Background
As the heading implies, we need to start with a short introduction to our past. BettingLounge first became available in 2016, when it launched in the UK, and only a small team worked on the site for the first few years. However, as popularity has grown, so has the team.
Fast forward to now, the editors Steven Hubbard and Isak Möller - along with several test personnel and tipsters - work on the English site. A rigorous testing process has been put in place and the feedback from punters has been very positive, in many ways achieving what we set out to do.
Recently, to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the site (in the summer of 2026), the testing process was brought to Swedish punters with the launch of BettingLounge.se. A successful expansion that, in turn, inspired our most recent venture in Ireland with BettingLounge.ie.
Given the background, BettingLounge.ie and BettingLounge.se both take heavy inspiration from the parent site in the UK. That applies to everything from how the reviews are structured, what tests are carried out, and the features we have. As the saying goes: "Don't fix what ain't broken!".
How We Help Punters
Now that you know all about our background, how do we actually help punters? Considering the wide scope of betting these days, it's hard to summarise in just a few points, but we have done our best to highlight the key aspects of BettingLounge's essence.
- Reviews: Our reviews are at the heart of everything. We sign up for every single bookmaker that we test, depositing and withdrawing funds too, as this is the only way to actually review a site. We take a lot of pride in our testing process, seeing as we never go halfway.
- Useful lists: Thanks to our rigorous testing of the bookmakers, we know exactly what type of punter each site is suitable for. For example, which site should you choose if you like horse racing? Or if you want to deposit with PayPal? We have you covered on these fronts.
- In-depth guides: Many of our comptitirors woukld gave been satifies enough with the reviews, but we have taken things up a notch with dedicated guides for how to deposits, how to withdraw, if there are similar sites, and so on. Again, we want to give you the full picture.
- Odds comparison: In addition to testing the betting margins of the bookies, we also offer odds comparison for various sports on a daily basis. This means that you can always find the best odds for football matches, horse racing meetings, NFL games, and much more.
How We Differ From Competitors
Many of our competitors would probably claim that they have a user-first approach, but our bite-back would be that it's actually rarely the case. BettingLounge, as such, is our attempt at making it easier for punters to compare bookies without having to worry about potentially misleading information.
In short, we want to rely on our own tests and experiences when making our verdicts, which is exactly why we register for the betting sites when we test them. It's not enough to just read the FAQ page and then pass that; we want to give the bookies a run for their money.
If something is poor, then it's poor. If something is good, then it's good. End of story. We believe this approach sets us apart from our competitors, without throwing shade at them for that matter (we just have different ways to look at things!).
