Having been in the UK market since 2016, BettingLounge has become one of the go-to sources for UK punters. In 2026, to mark the site's ten-year anniversary, an expansion was made into Sweden to bring the unique and perfected bookie testing to Swedish punters as well.
But why stop there? That is exactly what we asked ourselves just months after the aforementioned expansion, resulting in the launch in Ireland as well. After all, thanks to our real tests - from registration to withdrawal - we can help punters in this country as well.
In addition to actually testing the sites ourselves, our editorial grades are combined with user ratings from Trustpilot and the app stores, which in turn results in what we call the BL Score. This helps us maintain objectivity and transparency, not only relying on our own verdicts.

In addition to examining potential previous fines from licence authorities for social responsibility failures, we also look at how betting sites highlight the subject of responsible gambling.
