Coral is part of the Entain Group with a dominant presence both online and on the high street. It's one of the UK's biggest bookmakers with a large number of active Irish bettors using the platform.

One of the first things that stands out at Coral is that it offers a range of diverse markets with very competitive odds. There are strong football, horse racing and greyhound products at Coral with betting margins under 6% on English Premier League football matches.
Live and featured games typically have well over 100 markets to bet on including the winning result, number of goals, and player props. The Bet Builder function is available, with pre-populated bet builders also in the lobby.
Join the Coral Racing Club or the free-to-play Racing Super Series or Football Super Series and win cash prizes. There are also boosted odds daily on all the popular sports.
The payment methods available at Coral for Irish players leave a little to be desired, but we do have the options of Visa as well as PayPal which is a positive. The minimum deposit is also just €5 and the withdrawal process took under 1 hour in our test.
The mobile interface offers a smooth browsing experience where you can slide between sports and markets with ease or even venture over to the online casino.
We noticed at Coral that a promo or two, like daily odds boosts or daily rewards, is never far away either.

Coral was established in 1926 and has grown into one of the UK's leading and biggest bookmakers. It's owned by Entain and is operated by ElectraWorks Limited. Since 2026, Coral is also Birmingham City's official UK betting partner.

This is obviously quite a low rating on Trustpilot for one of the UK's most established bookmakers, but we wouldn't let it put you off testing out the platform itself. In general, bookmaker ratings can be quite low on Trustpilot, meaning they can be somewhat misleading.
💰 Has Coral Been Fined?
Coral has previously been fined £5.9m by the UKGC for not protecting vulnerable customers, and for failings in its anti-money laundering policies. No fine has been handed out by GRAI yet given the infancy of the licence.
Coral Deposits
The deposit process at Coral came with a few stumbling blocks. There were four main options to choose from: Visa debit, PayPal, PaysafeCard, and Google Pay with a minimum deposit of just €5. With PayPal, the min deposit was €10. A minimum deposit of €5 is a plus point with most operators setting the minimum at €10.
Just a handful of payment methods is a relatively low amount of options but these are some of the most popular banking options for Irish punters.
As a new account holder, verification is required before you can top up your sports balance, while the gaming balance could be topped up without the usual verification checks.

How to Deposit at Coral
Here's our simple step-by-step guide to depoisting at Coral:

Click on "Deposit"
When you're logged into your Coral account, you'll find a green Deposit button in the top right-hand corner of your device. Hit this.

Select Payment Method and Enter Amount
In the cashier area, you'll see four main deposit options including PayPal and Visa. Choose your preferred option, add your payment details, and you'll be brought to a screen where you can enter a nominal amount. The minimum deposit at Coral from a Visa card is €5.

Deposit Success
After you've entered your desired deposit amount in the box provided and hit the confirm button, you'll see a page confirming a successful deposit. The funds are added to your real money balance, as you can see in the top right-hand corner of the image below.
Coral Withdrawals
There were no issues withdrawing from Coral. You will, however, need to upload identity documents in the shape of a government-issued ID and two utility bills before you can deposit and withdraw from the sportsbook as a new player.
The cashier mentions that the withdrawal time with a Visa debit card is within 4 hours, but my withdrawal was processed with funds landing back in my account within one hour. The minimum withdrawal is €5 and the maximum is €100k.
Despite depositing with Visa, we also had the option to withdraw by bank transfer. A lot of bookmakers will require you to withdraw funds back to the same method you used to deposit.

How to Withdraw Funds From Coral
The withdrawal process at Coral is relatively straightforward. Here's our step-by-step guide:

Click the Withdrawal Tab
Click into your balance in the top right-hand corner of the screen. This brings you to the Coral Cashier or banking page.
To get to the next page, first click the Withdraw tab in the Cashier menu.

Choose the Withdrawal Method
You can now see your chosen deposit method and the options you have to make a withdrawal by toggling left and right. Visa and bank transfer were the ones available to us.

Simply enter the amount you wish to withdraw in the box provided on the Withdrawal page and hit the Green 'Withdraw' button. You should see a withdrawal success confirmation message.
You'll notice there's also an option to track your withdrawal through the different stages, from the initial request until the withdrawal is complete.

The football offering at Coral is wildly impressive. You can bet on any league from the English Premier League or Championship to in-play betting on Indian or Australian leagues. There's even an Esoccer product.
Choose from hundreds of markets like total goals or anytime goalscorer in the big games. There's a 'popular picks' feature where you can follow the most backed bets of the day. The Bet Builder feature has 20+ markets to choose from.
A prepopulated Bet Builder function is live if you want a quick bet or you can build your bet yourself adding bets from markets like goalscorers, outright winner, total goals, cards and even corners. Coral also pays out on selected games if your team goes two goals up in 90 minutes.
We are looking at a betting margin of 5.7-6% on games from the Premier League, Championship and Champions League. Venturing into leagues like the Bundesliga and betting on the top teams like Bayern Munich can see margins of up to 10%.
🏇 Horse Racing Offering
We think the horse racing product at Coral is top class. Meetings are covered from the UK, Ireland, France, South Africa, the U.S and other popular International venues.
A diverse range of markets are available like win and place betting, forecasts, and even special bets like how many lengths a horse will win by. What's more, there's also a Bet Builder feature for horse racing.
We're also impressed with promotions like money back on featured races if your horse finishes second by a specific distance (like a head). Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG) is also available on UK and Irish racing at Coral.
All players with funded accounts can enjoy live streaming of selected races on the go on mobile too.
🎾 The Rest
If horse racing and football aren't your cup of tea, you can choose from plenty of other popular sports at Coral. American sports like basketball and baseball populate the betting menu while more Irish-friendly sports like Formula 1, boxing, golf, snooker and rugby are all catered for too.
You can even venture into the politics world or try some novelty bets like who might win an Oscar this year. Don't forget the Greyhound markets either, which a lot of work goes into at Coral.
It's easy to find all these markets. Simply click into "All Sports" on the bottom menu on your mobile device and it will bring up a long-form menu of all the sports and bet types.
Coral Casino Review
The Coral Casino can be accessed via links from various nav bars and menus on your mobile device. There are several links to different parts of the casino, like the live casino, table games, Instant Wins or slot games.
At the top of the Coral online casino homepage, there's a search function where you can filter by game types and categories but not by software providers, which is a negative for us.
In saying that, there's a diverse portfolio of games to choose from including Jackpot slots, bingo, Live Roulette and poker. All in all there's a games library of over 6,000 titles at Coral Casino if you like to spin those reels and wheels.
Coral Mobile App
The Coral mobile app rates 4.7 out of 5 on the Apple App Store from almost 800 ratings. There's a raft of positive reviews on the page.
On Android in the Google Play Store, the Coral app has over 1M+ downloads with an average rating of 4.3. It has over 12,000 reviews, so it must be doing something right.

In the main menu on the Coral website, you can click into the 'Gambling controls' tab, which provides a range of tools aimed at ensuring responsible gambling:

Coral Customer Support
Live chat and email support were hard to find at Coral, it has to be said. On mobile, there is a 'Help and Contact' page that leads to a more thorough FAQ page. Unless you click through to one of them and request additional support, you won't find the contact options.
It was easier to find the 'Contact Us' page on desktop. The customer service team is available 24/7 at Coral and you can ring them from outside the UK on: +44 (0) 208 507 5544. You can also email the support team at [email protected], as well as chat with them in the live chat.
Then again, the hoops you have to go through to find the live chat (which is normally very visible) are not ideal and complicate the experience.
