In this review, we put the site to the test by signing up, verifying our account, depositing real money, placing bets and withdrawing funds.

From the crisp and clear interface to the all-around modern and innovative product, we think Novibet stands out from its competitors.

Betting margins on Premier League games average out at just over 6%, far better than industry standard.
Novibet also carries a strong betting app for both iOS and Android, with loads of payment options for Irish punters. In our test, the withdrawal process proved flawless, with funds landing in our account immediately.

Novibet was originally founded in 2010 and launched in Ireland around 2021, with its main tech hubs based in Greece and Malta, while its HQ is based in the latter country.
Irish punters might recognise Novibet from TV commercials, where it advertises a more than solid sports welcome offer of ‘Bet €10, get €50 in free bets’.
Novibet is also partnered with several football sides, including lesser lights like Santos FC, Cruz Azul, Panionios and Kalamata FC.

The rising independent betting operator left the UK market in 2022 but has been growing in Ireland ever since, recently securing a license from the GRAI.

Novibet has accrued just over 550 ratings on Trustpilot, so perhaps we can be forgiven for largely ignoring a rating of 1.7 stars. Even that score beats the likes of Bet365 and Coral, and typically speaking, bookmakers do not tend to rate highly on the website.
💰 Has Novibet Been Fined?
There is no record of Novibet being hit with fines, however, it did leave the UK betting market due to 'commercial reasons', surrendering its UKGC licence. Allwyn International also pulled out of a 51% share takeover of Novibet amidst concerns raised by Greek competition regulators.
Novibet Deposits
When we tested Novibet, we were delighted with the spread of payment options available for deposits. These range from bank transfer and debit card to PayPal and everything in between. The Novibet Cashier has more payment options than most other Irish bookmakers we have reviewed.
The minimum deposit depends on the method chosen. Trustly and the e-wallets have a minimum deposit threshold of €10, while the others come in at €5. Apple Pay and Google Pay were also mentioned on the website as viable payment options, but there was no sign of them in our banking area.
We did experience some technical issues with the 3D Secure Verification process when trying to deposit via the Novibet app and on mobile browser. This was eventually solved, but it's worth keeping in mind.
During registration and depositing, we also noted the mention of the need to verify a new account before transactions can take place.

How to Deposit at Novibet
We encountered a few issues when making a deposit with a Visa debit card at Novibet but it is likely that was a one-off. On desktop, the deposit process was seamless. See below for steps on how to deposit:

This is where I encountered the 3D Secure verification with the bank during our testing. It should be a matter of confirming the transaction with your bank, then being redirected to the "deposit successful" page.
When you see this page and a confirmation receipt of your deposit, hit "Let's Go" to start browsing.
Novibet Withdrawals
There are several payment options at Novibet, including e-wallets, instant bank transfer and Revolut (via open banking), and most of them are accepted for withdrawals.
In our test, we had to withdraw funds back to the method we deposited with despite PayPal, Skrill and bank transfer showing as withdrawal methods in the cashier. We made a withdrawal request for €10 with a Visa debit card and it processed instantly, from request to receipt, making it a fast withdrawal bookie.
The minimum and maximum withdrawals via card are €10 and €5k respectively, so the minimum is slightly higher than with deposits. The minimum withdrawal via PayPal and Skrill is also €10, but the maximum is €5k with PayPal and €7.5k with Skrill.
If you win big, Instant bank transfer (via Trustly open banking) is the method you want given the maximum withdrawal set at €50k. That said, the minimum for that method is higher than the others.

How to Withdraw Funds From Novibet
The withdrawal process was seamless at Novibet in our test. Follow the guide below:

Go to Your Account
Making sure you are first logged into your account, hit the 'head & shoulders icon' at the top of the screen.

Choose the "Withdrawal" Option
From your account menu, choose "Withdrawal", or alternatively click on the quick withdrawal option under the balance.

Some of the main withdrawal options will show in the banking area, along with a note that says "please withdraw from the methods used to deposit". Scroll down to the deposit method you used and click it.

Enter Withdrawal Amount and Confirm
Card details will load automatically. Simply enter the desired withdrawal amount, confirm the password on the account and hit the Continue button (which will turn blue).
After the withdrawal request process was initiated, I was left hanging in our review and test. There was no confirmation receipt or page redirect. Retrospectively, I found my balance had updated and my pending withdrawal was in my wallet.
Novibet Sportsbook Review
Novibet does not do things by halves. It is determined to make a mark in the Irish market and the team here feel like it is well on its way to doing so.
For an independent bookmaker, the Novibet platform and product are highly impressive, and this leads into popular sports like football and horse racing.
⚽ Football Offering
Let's kick off the football offering by talking about the betting margins on Premier League football games. These come in at around 6%, which is amongst the best we have seen.
The depth of markets for Irish soccer matches also stands out, with anything from the 'Totals' to player props available. Several of these can be put into a bet builder. The bet request feature is widely available too.
There are regular football offers like £10 free bets when your bet builder loses, and this also applies to international matches like the Nations League.
The dedicated "Top Leagues" tab is like a quick pick from all the top English and European leagues, showing win-draw-win and player betting markets alongside a grid of current stats on the teams and players to inform bettors. Bet Builder+ features on this page.
🏇 Horse Racing Offering
If it is racing that you want, the standout feature for me in the racing product was the layout of the lobby. I had one of the best navigation experiences from any bookmaker. In saying that, horse racing is only covered in the UK and Ireland, along with the U.S.
There's a nice spread of markets including Insure Bet and Place Boost bet types, along with win and place betting, and forecasts. This is just on regular races. More markets like 'head-to-head and winning distance' markets come into play in featured races and meetings.
Live streaming is also available on these races for logged-in account holders.
We came across a 'Verdict' feature on UK and Irish races supplied by the Racing Post, providing a heads-up about each race. Promos and specials are lacking a bit for horse racing, and there is no Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG). Extra place specials are on the roster for selected races.
🎾 The rest
Novibet has over 30 markets and a diverse portfolio of sports and markets in the betting menu. This includes virtual sports and e-sports.
Specifically for Irish sports bettors, Novibet has its own dedicated tabs or section revolving around the GAA (Hurling and Gaelic football), and the Irish football Premier Division.
It is also possible to bet on obscure sports like badminton, and even chess, if we can call that a sport.
Rugby fans can take their pick from Rugby League or Rugby Union, while the best of the rest includes separate Politics and Entertainment betting areas. BBC Sports Personality of the Year or Strictly Come Dancing are a couple of favourites amongst Irish betting enthusiasts.
One negative I noted in our review was the lack of live golf betting for regular DP World Tour golf tournaments.
Novibet Casino Review
The Novibet Casino comprises over 13,000 games and a full live dealer suite of table games and game shows, powered by top software providers like Pragmatic Play, Evolution and Playtech.
The casino interface is crisp and clear, while the navigation process is a breath of fresh air, with a search function and various categories. Promos galore is another theme of the Novibet casino, with more-than-solid jackpots to be won on slots.
Novibet Mobile App
The Novibet mobile app is highly rated with an Apple App Store score of 4.3 based on 1.3k ratings, and a Google Play Store rating of 4.2 from just 569 reviews.
The app is brought to the market via Logflex MT Limited and is a little on the large side at 231MB. It's available in four languages.
Exclusive promos and fast performance are features of the product that has over 50k downloads for Android. Promos on the app include the Horse Racing Club's bet €20 get €5 daily as a free bet. It is an all-inclusive sports betting and casino app.
On the negative side, the Novibet app does have some 1-star reviews thrown in on the app store websites.

Novibet actively promotes awareness of problem gambling, giving tips and hints on improving prevention, intervention, and treatment if necessary. An in-depth responsible gambling page along with a comprehensive FAQ page can be found on the site.

"Novi chat" answers questions through its AI assistant, but as we found out, it was easy to get off that train and chat with one of the human representatives. It proved quite easy to flag the agent rather than stick to AI-generated chat.
